Microneedling
Microneedling can improve the appearance of acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin, skin texture, pore size, brown spots, stretch marks, and pigment issues.
MIcroneedling uses multiple small, sterile needles that cause sub-surface wounds in the skin. This sends the skin into a cycle of regeneration and stimulates the creation of new collagen and elastin for a softer, firmer, and more even toned complexion. Serums used during and after treatment are able to penetrate deeper in the skin to help with specific skin concerns.
Serums that can be used include hyaluronic acid for hydrating, peptides for improving texture and tone, ceramides for healing and moisture and epidermal growth factor to accelerate healing.
Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure with no downtime. There may be some redness and irritation for a few days post-treatment. Redness is an indication that the skin is healing and the treatment is working. Most will notice improved texture a few days after treatment. A series of 3-4 treatments is recommended for optimal results.
See the information on microneedling with Plasma Rich Platelets to learn about the added benefits when that process is used during treatment.
